SUPPORT GROUP @ CBC

AN INITIATIVE BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE

“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal” - Steve Maraboli

Recently a group of volunteers came together to run the support group programmes regularly for the patients of CBC. Thanks to Mrs. Padma who sowed the seed that Support group programmes should be a movement by the breast cancer survivors for the breast cancer survivors. What does the support group do?

    Counseling
  • Providing information and clarification (by those who have been through the treatment)
  • Interactions to help the patients feel less isolated
  • Suggestions and tips to tide over the hardships during the treatment
    Monthly events
  • Talks by resource people on various topics related to breast cancer
  • Fun and frolic programmes
  • Opportunities for the participants to showcase their talents
    Knitting prosthesis
  • A small group of ladies have volunteered to learn and make prosthesis for patients who had mastectomy surgery.

So the subscribers of the newsletter can look forward to exciting happenings at CBC regularly. Stay tuned!!
